You beat me too, I had the Cyprus governor aged 102![]()
Obviously not but still, its pretty awesome...never seen one so old.
And yes Cocroach, I was Julian in a 355 campaign. I had captured Ravenna though for some reason, the script didn't work properly (as in having Italy rebel to me). A turn later there is this crusty old general, all by his lonesome, lurking outside Ravenna probably looking for his zimmerframe.
To actually answer the initial question, the oldest I got was a Sarmatian warlord in his 80's, enjoying a comfortable retirement in Italy.

I remember discussing this some time ago with other members. Apparently if you save it during each turn it "preserves" him a little longer if he were to die on the next turn. Simply load the saved game and he'll last longer and so forth.
I think my oldest was 90~. I'd practically maxed out all his command, management and influence points as each turn involved a huge battle with the Julii (I was Britannia and had taken a place directly on a Julii/Brutii front). Badass.

Mine was 86 year old Hanno, starting leader of Carthagei hadnt noticed, he had taken Sicily for me and i forgot about him to focus on Numidia, Spain, and i had a colony on Crete and war with Greece. Many turns later i decided to invade Rome. My forces gathered on Sicily i took the nearest general and laughed when i saw it was Hanno 86 years old. He took one settlement from the Brutii and passed away the turn after

Lol thats how it happens sometimes, my favorite people are the greeks. my oldest general was Doros of sparta i belive, or might have been another, but he was like 99 he died the turn before i took rome, sucked he had a whole life of fighting romans with many Heroic victories only to die just before the defeat of the senate![]()
It would appear that Flavius Julius is consistently long-lived... for me, he's never died before he's 80, and he reached 91 once before he died fighting the Britons. Better than dying in a Roman care home, I guess. Maybe it's just him, because I know for a fact some of the other original faction leaders never last long...
oldest general I had when I played as egypt like 5 yrs ago was my 94 year old Pharaoh
Wow, thats rare. Normally they didn't live past their 50s![]()

Oldest General I have gotten was 103...a Julius(Either a grandchild of the starter sons or great grandchild I forgot)...the next general on that list was a roman guy who married some random daughter I had from someone (non juli I think) when he was 73 or whatever and she was like 40....I thought "Bah this dude is going to die the next turn I bet...or father no children..." Lo and behold...he lives to the ripe old age of 97 and has 2 sons and 1 daughter!
woah that sure beats ramases94 year old Pharaoh
The 1.2 patch introduced a save/load bug that caused the game to reset the AI, or something like that, that use to cause characters to live abnormally long. In one Julian game, my initial faction leader lived to march on and take Rome in the civil war. He was around 103. He died the turn after he took Rome.
Some people reported being able to "reset" their general- meaning that after age... 120, I believe it was, their age would reset to zero. The oldest anyone had was over two hundred years. There is an older thread where people discuss this, if you want to search for it.
The save/load bug was fixed in the 1.3 patch, and if memory serves me, my oldest general since then only made it to their 80's.
