    Default Logitech G5 or G7

Im a fan of logitech. i think they make good products so thats why i chose to ask you all for some advice on the G5 and G7

i hate the idea of changing batteries and mouse lag of the wireless mouses, but im getting really ****** off at my wired mouse which the cord no matter where i put it will always get caught or just **** me off.

I was wondering for those who have experience with both wireless and non-wireless, which one would you choose? why?

i had a wireless mouse like a long time ago, but that was when they sucked hardcore, with new technology and LASER tracking, which is best now?

also whats the difference between RF and Fast RF? there both radio frequency right?

if theres a deadlock, i might just go with the G5 cause it doesnt need batteries and wont have lag.

    thanks in advance!

Get one of Logitechs Trackball mouses and you will not have to worry about the wires or moving a mouse all over the mouse pad. Just move that thumb and click, easier, faster and more accurate.

Good Luck on making your choice.

I've had the mx1000 which is comparabe to the G7, and I;ve never felt anything like 'wireless-lag' even in fps games.

I actually use the G7 and it is excellent - get it!

Changing batteries is easier than you think, When you buy it, you get a charger and two batteries. One goe sin the mouse, the other in the charger. When your batteries get low, you just press a button, the battery pops out, and you change it easily. Takes no more than 10 seconds to replace the battery. Also, the G7 is one of the most sensitive mice on the market and you can adjust it to your prefrence and there is definitely ZERO mouse lag. The G7 is a dream, a little expensive but if you can afford it - it is defintiely worthwhile!

    G7 is more precise.

To your average Joe, for all intents and purposes there's no real difference other than one's corded and the other's not.

EDIT: Ugh, I let one slip. The MX1000 is wireless as well. If i recall correctly, it has more buttons and supposedly more functionality because of that. Also, if I recall correctly, it has lower dpi than the G7. It's a good mouse and it doesn't have the "wireless lag" that seems to plague someone I know's Microsoft mouse.

They are both 2000dpi. The only difference is the wireless technology, which was already near perfect for the mx1000, and has now even improved for the G7. But the question the TS posted was concearning the G7 and not the mx1000.
So the G7 has the same performance as the G5, and as a plus is wireless.

alrighjt thanks for the advice to all. and thanks timmius, you solved both my questions the second one being which was better mx1000 or g7. anyways, so i take it that the g7 > mx1000 due to imnproved wireless technology and g7 > g5 due to the wireless capabilities.

alrighty, thanks guys, im just gonna have to decide when ill get the mouse hehe.

oh, seeing as how the g7 has 6 buttons, thats good enough for me. more than 6 will be too many for me. :sweatingb
