    Default new laptop, problem with medieval 2

    Hey guys,

    I just got a new laptop, installed medieval 2 then kingdoms.. launched vanilla game and noticed the game sxcreen didnt take up my entire screen, so I decided to change my resolution. I picked one which was too large and my screen went black. When I switch back to the desktop, for a second or two I see the medieval 2 total war menu, very big and just the topleft corner.

    I cant however change the resolution again in game..

    I tried the preferences file but it only shows this:

    [video]
    widescreen=0
    [game]
    allusers=1

    What do I have to do? Help please

    Did you install it 4:3 or 10:6?

    When you install the game it gives you a option to do it in two resolutions.

    What is the native resolution of your laptop?
    What resolutions does it support?

    Well, it's not a Laptop it's Lenovo PC. It worked perfectly until I just changed it thinking it would do something good to it but I was wrong.
    What do you mean by Resolution does it support?

    Delete the medieval2.preferences.cfg in the main Medieval II Total War folder and let the game generate a new one if it's all the damage you did.

    Since it's not a laptop as the title says, you would have been better off starting your own thread than necroing this one but since we're here, are you trying to load a save or start a new game?
