help with first time script editing please
Hi, I've just discovered all this modding stuff and have set myself up a nice little custom startpos (and some minor unit stats changes) over a cocktail of mods (the main ones of which are DMUC custom campaign and Caussi Bella unit packs)
However when i play it, it invariably crashes out after a few turns due to the same prompts.
What i've done is made Venice (who i'm playing as) and Central Italy major nations and given Milan and naples to each repectively (from Spain), However i could neither remove nor relocate the spanish army in milan so eventually i just ended up giving them open borders to start. Also (and this bit's probably the issue) i could not get the startpos to recognize the road in Milan as mine and it won't let me upgrade it, I suspect the problem may arize when Spain try and upgrade the road cos they still think they own it even though it is in my territory, leading to the game blackscreening and crashing to desktop.
Can anyone diagnose this problem for me and give me a solution (ideally one that will let me carry on my savegame because i'm about 10 years in). Thanks
also, there is probably way more information here than you need but i wasn't quite sure where the problem may have arisen from

Re: help with first time script editing please
okay, i've managed to persuade the game the road belongs to me but the crash still happens, my next tactic is to obliterate the spanish before they can screw up the game with whatever it is they are doing, so now i need tactics to get rid of them mid game in as few turns as possible (preferably one or two so they don't foil my plans by causing another apocalypse)
also i'm assuming if i run them out of europe they'll be declared destroyed even if i ignore their colonies?

Ok, sorted it out now (kind of) for reference if anyone else gets into a similar situation (i.e. one particular factions actions are breaking the game) the method i used was to give them a nearby region to my faction in game, make a new hybrid startpos where this region was now their capital, add hugely to my own treasury, buy all other regions off them then declare war and blitz their last remaining and now easily accessible capital, the whole thing can be done in a turn and doesn't give them an opportunity to break the game.
Hope this doesn't actually happen to anyone else cause it's a bit fiddly to fix, but if it does i hope this helps
