    Default cd rom drive problem

    my cd rom drive wont let me copy files to a blank cd any more it says they are full when i know thier not also it is now called romebirtw and has the bi banner as its icon i dont know what happened here but ive tried everything i can think of anyone got any ideas

    I never had that problem, but my dvd-rw can only read certain brands of cd/dvdrw.

    Default Don't see what the problem is here. CD-Rom drives are dispensable.

    Just buy a new CD-Rom drive. They're cheap as water. It's like whining about a floppy drive that won't save. You don't fix it. You just buy a new one.

    hmmm it seems that my bi cd was so beloved by the cd rom that when i removed it
    the computor was convinced that it was still there the answer was simple play a music cd and it returned to normal

    Try unplugging the power/IDE cables from it...or check the MFG's site for a firmware upgrade. Or just buy a new one - probably your best.
