I was wondering if anyone could share some stories of honest ceasefires with neighboring nations. It seems that The Cimbri, Averni, and I (Rome) have and actual, mutual peace. I have my frontier set up along the Rhine just like the real Roman Empire. And at first, there was alot of fighting but after a while we negotiated a ceasefire and for the last 40-50 turns almost nothing has happened. In fact, we're allies now. I've just been expanding into Greece while my western borders remain quiet.
I just think it's neat and adds a sense of realism to the game when not everyone of your bordering nations is trying to pound you into oblivion.
Also, in case you're wondering. The Cimbri are not weak (although the Averni are). The Cimbri control alot of Central and Eastern Europe and are one of the strongest nations in the game. I'm quite surprised they don't try to fight me. It's gonna be alot of fun when they do finally decide to break the peace. All hell's gonna break loose.![]()
