    Default Campaign Advice Needed

    Hellooo

Well, I seem to be heading nowhere in my campaigns. I've been playing as Scotland to no avail.

The main problem seems to be that I never end up in a position in which to build more units. After dealing with the rebel stack and castle in the home province and capturing Aberdeen; I'm left with a rag-tag bunch of highlanders, incapable, it seems to me, of capturing Inverness.

Hell, this isnt even exclusive to Scotland...I tend to get wiped by rebels shortly after I get the feeling of making progress...

    Any advice guys and gals?
Btw not complaining about the difficulty, I think its great! Just another DLV noob it seems

That's DLV for you. Think of another strategy on the campaign or in the battlefield. It's quite in easy, tell you the truth. Though I have played DLV for two years now. You'll get the hang of it. You're in for a wild ride.

Hi Chindasuinth, some tips for Scotland: The value of defense spending will be massively increased upon taking Inverness. And then, with retrained troops, you can take York before the English get there. York needs developing but will generate plenty of cash in time. So getting in there fast helps. And remember to leave a healthy garrison in Edinburgh, and keep them happy - Avoid the Rebel armies.

    Indeed I have, good sir.

Upon your advice, Galloglaich,I decided to change my plan and make a straight dash for Inverness. Managed to capture it, defeat the other rebel army and take the fort! Huzzah!

Now I'm just waiting to retrain my highlanders and hoping that "Lord Juan" doesn't decide to take my woefully unprepared capital

Thanks for the tips Taiji; I look forward to implementing them once i have reached the required plateau of competance.
