Which TW game has had the best naval battles?

Although I do like the naval battles in S2, I found the naval battles in Napoleon to be more fun. You can pretty much rule the sea with one Nanban Trade Ship, whereas in Napoleon there are other ships with cannons to match yours.

I like fighting hordes of small trash ships with 1 or 2 Nanban Trade Ships!

Napoleons naval battles are probably the most challenging of the 3. But I think Shoguns are the most fun.

Napoleon I guess it have a wider scope, and if they are a improvement over Empire then they should be awesome!

Napoleon definitely i love being Great Britian and defending the english channel. Also i like the naval battles better in napoleon. Like a previous post said above when you get the black ship or nanban trade ship your pretty much unstoppable at sea cannons destroy everything. In napoleon theres more balance.

Shogun 2 is the first game I've actually learnt to play naval battles... and I've encountered them very fun indeed.

Napoleon for me. Big impressive line ships made japanese ships look like boats, plus they removed the real time (?) damage system that was present in Empire/Napoleon, S2 seems to have only preset levels of visual damage.

I prefer the Empire ones (never played napoleon) in case of varity and challange. On the other hand, I prefer the smaller scale of shogun 2. Controlling 20 ships at the same time was a pain in the ass. Mostly it was cut down by me to have one core in formation and maybe 2-3 single ships that I micro-managed. With a cap of 10 ships per army it is more handy to control the fleet in battles.

NTW better by far. Only thing S2TW naval has better than NTW naval is the coastlines and islands and stuff, instead of just open expanses of water, but as for gameplay, strategy etc then its NTW all the way.

E:TW beats out N:TW for me only because of Darthmod. If there was a Darthmod for N:TW I'd love it, but vanilla N:TW naval battles are far too arcade for me.

Shogun II's naval battles, while pretty, don't really feel all that strategic to me. It's more like a land battle that takes place on floating platforms.

Empire's sea battles are just fantastically epic.
