Default Frame Rate drop when trees are around.

So whenever I'm fighting a battle and there are any trees on the battlefield (usually in a moderate number), I get a rather generous amount of visual lag. I've tried setting the vegetation detail to low and that hasn't fixed the problem and when I run auto-detect in video options, my computer automatically sets vegetation detail to high (along with everything else). Now when there are few to no trees on the battlefield, I get roughly thirty to fifty frames per second.

Any suggestions so fighting in the woods can be a bearable experience?

Avatar is very suiting isn't it?

bane: thank you for the recommendation. I turned the shadows down from high (which was what my computer detected) to medium and its been smooth sailing since.

Glad to hear it. Don't really know why but the shadow calculations seem to be so hungry when it comes to system ressources but it is a small price to pay.
