PLEASE HELP!!!

I just downloaded Third Age including it's patch 2.1. I reeeeaalllly want to play this game but every time i click on the icon it opens then closes. My game won't run. Why?

I followed the instruction exactly. The short cut on the desktop labeled third age

I'm not sure what the specs are on my computer but if medieval 2 runs on my computer then shouldn't third age? Are you saying that third age requires patch 1.5 on kingdoms? How can i tell if it's patched?

You need Medieval II: Kingdoms (an expansion to Medieval II) in order to play Third Age Total War.

- TATW 2.0 requires the "Medieval 2 - Kingdoms Expansion" and is compatible with the official patch 1.04 and 1.05. One installed campaign of the "Kingdoms Expansion is enough.

Yes, you need 1.04 or 1.05. Right-klick the original exe of kingdoms and you will get the version under the "details" tab in properties.

This is wrong you MUST have it updated to the 1.05 "NOT just to the 1.04" or you will have problems with this mod Read my install instuctions it has everything you need to get this mod going here the link

Got Kingdoms updated. I will just uninstall Third Age since it isnt working and follow Legolose's instructions.

Well, I just quoted from the installation instructions in the official release thread for TATW 2.1.. If it's incorrect, perhaps a PM pointing this out to KK, who wrote it, is in order..

don't forget to change the name of the folder from third age to a different name for ex. if you do not play americas change third age folder name to americas and rename your americas folder something else, and when you launch it click americas and it should run after you update that is.

I downloaded the update but it showed as a separate folder how do i update kingdoms after patch is downloaded.
