Default CTD on any siege battles

Im playing as England, and have only just started my campaign. Everytime I try to take a new castle I get the message "Unspecified error the program with now close" .

    Any ideas?

    thanks,

(after some paying.. it seems that it may only be large seige battles that dont seem to work). Caenarvon (wales) and Edinburgh always crash, Rennes (Brittany) seemed worked fine but with only 6-7 units on my side..

please post all the info asked for the the how to report a bug sticky

especially, ss versions, operating system version, and kingdoms version, and install path.

and turn on trace and crash it again and post the system log here.

    thanks

p.s. in the dark guess....faulty install of some files (in this case castle textures form the battle maps) and you should repatch and make sure you have UAC off and right click 'run as adminstrator' and make sure nothing is read-only on your files for ss.

    also possibly a bad download/corrupted.

Is your game located within program files of any sort? If it is, put it in another folder so long as it is still in "my computer" i.e.
