Not allowing me to play a campaign.

Need some help!! I can't continue beyond the campaign window. I have read the tech thread on how to click the start Campaign at the bottom of the screen and then click on the lower right arrow but I still keep on getting the "Please select an item from the list" window popping up.
I installed the game on a clean copy of rtw-bi and I followed the install directions to the letter. I'm running the game on windowsXP. The game loads perfectly until I get to the select campain window. Is there a fix so I don't have to uninstall everything and do it again. Any help would be appreciated.

If you go into the options menu what is the number in the top right hand corner?

The 'select an item from the list' error is usually an indication that RTW BI is not patched to the correct level.

i have the same problem... only that before the installation the game is patched to 1.5 and after the installation i find it patched to 1.4

1.4 is BI unpatched whereas 1.5 is RTW patched.

I recently updated my pc to Windows 7 Home Premium and I reinstalled everything like before on my XP and it worked well and when I updated to windows 7 and followed the steps to install RS2, when I think everything is in working condition, I choose ROME for the campaign and "ERROR 12" keeps popping up. Both my RTW and Barbarian Invasion are patched (RTW 1.5 and Barbarian 1.6)

What is wrong?....Ive seen this problem on the thread many months ago but im too PISSED to search the forum
