Default About the colours of the troops of chaos

I know that warriors of the chaos have a special colour that is linked to their gods (slaanesh etc) but I don't like to see full troops in red or in green, blue etc... For me armors should be dark, black armors, it's like this I have always imagined troops of chaos... They are too coloured for me... (no need to say if you don't like do it yourself, I can't skin...)
    what do you think?

I prefer this style for chaos warriors:

Well, when you unite all Chaos factions you become Chaos Undivided (so you get black warriors and knights). As long as you play only a faction (like Khorne, Nurgle, etc.) I think it is best to stick with the colors of their gods. The ones Reiksfart made are awesome.
The only complain I have, regarding Chaos warriors, is their color scheme when they are undivided. Those yellowish borders are terrible. I'd prefer some steel instead. Like this:

    This would be much better.

I like that pic of the black undivided. Saving it for reference when I re-skin undivided.

MMMmm, some units of chaos undivided would be great!

    Chaos Undivided

Chaos Undivided is the worship of all ChaosGods, greater and lesser, as a single pantheon or deity.
Some followers of the Dark Gods worship them as a pantheon rather than following one particular god. Other followers worship Chaos as a single great entity, with the various Chaos Gods simply manifestations of that entity's aspects. Still others may simply follow one god briefly and then switch allegiance to another, owing more to convenience than actual faith. Regardless of the nature of their worship, all of these are grouped together as Chaos Undivided; followers of Chaos Undivided may bear a mark, similar to the followers of the four great gods.
Generals who bear the mark of Chaos Undivided have more freedom from the effects of the difficult relations between the Chaos Gods. As an example, while warriors who worship Slaanesh would not serve a general who worships Khorne, an Undivided general can convince these gods' warriors to fight for him, without fear of reprisal from either. Chaos followers who manage to attract the attention of all four major Chaos gods must be either very strong willed or very lucky to maintain their identity as a mortal leader, and those who rise to become champions of Chaos Undivided can usually command vast armies drawn from a coalition of Northmen tribes. The greatest of these are known as the Everchosen, favoured champions who carry the marks of all four Chaos powers, all of whom have led some of the most destructive Chaos incursions into the Old World in history.

My gripe with the chaos armies is their uniformed appearance. Even compared to most empire armieswith their mercenary contigents, Bretonnians, special units, unique units chaos armies are Comparitively uniformed.

I think each tribeland and nation in norscan and Kurgan lands should produce their own kind of chaos warriors and marauders and keep the ones we have now for the Kul lands I think.

This of course is a mere wish, I have no faith that wishes come true anymore.

nice picture of those older chaos warriors. mostly it was the chaos warriors distinct features wich set them apart, marauders had the iconic chaos weaponry and looted or crudely fashioned armour, no coloring, save the banner, but mostly just a iron feel to them. warriors undivided had the same color thing going, since well...their undivided :p but when it comes to the warriors devoted to a single god, it is more the gifts and all, next to the color that lets them stand out. like nurgle's warriors are bloated and have porturing pieces of human flesh coming out of their armour, and khorne the distinctive red ful plate with the large horned helm, and tzeenth with the massive mutations, and slaanesh with more lighter armour, but bent on speed and finesse.

i mean lighter overral since their armour is a tad lighter than that of lets say khorne *even though it only counts lore-wise, but what can i say :3*, and i was speaking about battle-wise, sex wise yeah..although they get as depraved as possible since the more the do it, the less pleasure they get out of it, thus ever striding to greater points of perversism, really, the dark elves could learn alot :3

    All hail dragonborn total war!!

I find the chaos troops arent well done at all, dont get me wrong the models are great, but compared to the other factions the textures are way to 'pixelish'. Its not all the chaos units, but really just the basic chaos warriors in general. I compare the quality of the nurgle sorcerers which are excellent to the nurgle chosen, and the difference is really noticable.

And the op is right the colors are way to bright. Chaos should look fearsome and not like an army of giant toys.

Are you guys talking about Reiksfart's Stinker's Version 1.4 released? Because I dont see Chaos Undivided textures there. I HATE that undivided is grey(not black) and with some ugly green borders.

Also I agree for example Khorne should have darker red.

    Gattsu +1

    The borders look really pixalized!1

Isn't there already some units of Chaos not serving under a specific god?

Chaos Warriors, Chaos Knights etc. is there for every chaos faction.
