Default Need help with this one

Hi, i recently got EU3 with the expantions. I thought it would be a good and really strategic game...
It's too strategic, too hard, slow and hard to understand.
The tutorial is simply poor, only explains the UI (which i forgot almost all later anyway) and a slight bit other things like colonization etc.
I just want to ask you:
-Is there a good tutorial around here? Something that would explain EVERYTHING, like a sort of Let's play.
-A mod that modifies the game to be more TW like? Especially like E:TW?(i know that's impossible lol)

here is a pretty good tutorial from paradoxplaza, once you find out how everything works, you realize just how terrible the total war series is at representing stratagys or realisitc empires.

Also if the game is too slow for you then you can turn up the speed, if you think its too slow at 5 then i can't help you though.

That tutorial was VERY helpful, now i understand more or less well this game even though it's not finished.
Now i'm doing a campaign as Holland and so far i'm doing well, need to prepare for a mega war against Burgundy though

yeah. If you're a starter, England would be a good nation. Almost all Paradox games are hard to understand, especially Victoria *shivers*

Yeah the game seems a little hard at the start, but after some time the basics are really easy. All you need to do is make money, there are various ways to do that. Built buildigs that improve your cities, send merchants to Cot's (that's a really good way to make money), etc etc... With that money buy grand armies (only recruit mercs if really need troops really fast), with those armies annex smaller countries near you (but take attention to who they are allied with), after that is all the same keep boosting your economies and annex other countries, also colonize as colonies give you a lot money from the tariffs (don't forget to build a great navy as to make sure that 100% of your tariffs arrive in your capital. Now a good country to start with depends of the year that you start the game. I suggest England and Portugal though, England 'cause it is almost isolated in Great Britain islands (just be careful with Scotland and also take Ireland), Portugal because the only country that it does have frontiers with is Spain (or Castille), so just keep good relations with it and start a huge colonial empire. Hope this help
