    Stainless Steel 6.4 Early Era: Clash of the Gods

    So i've been thinking about this for a while but haven't really got time to realise.Now i will have some more time so i've decided to give it a try.This HS will be a bit different from the others.Basically the goal will be domination of 1 religion over the others.Players of same religion will have to cooperate and plan their next moves together.They will need to have a common strategy and goals in order to succeed.Three religions will clash for domination on the "Old continent"(Catolichs, Muslims and Orthodox(I know catolich and orthodox are basically both christians, but there was still quite a dispute between Rome's Pope and Byzantine's Patriarch in history for domination and influence)).There will be 4 players for each religion but since there are only 3 orthodox factions i will give Cumans to the Orthodox so that the sides will be more balanced.Which 4 factions the Catholics will play will be their decision but i advise that the major factions are taken first.Also you will need to decide who will take what so that there won't be disputes between the factions of same religion.Holy wars will be allowed but i am still thinking whether to allow holy wars to be called on Orthodox or not.

    CATHOLICS(are still to be chosen by players): Rougeman; Seshomaru
    ORTHODOX(Byzantine;Kievan Rus;Novgorod;Cumans): Lord Luka;
    MUSLIMS(Fatimids,Seljuks,Moors,Kwarezem):


    RULES:

    - Wars between the factions of same religion are allowed but not recomended.

    Jihad and Crusades

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - No crusade abuse. Only settlements on the way to the crusade, and of the targeted Faction can be attacked. This goes for Jihads too. No joining a Crusade/Jihad to get units and/or movement points and then leaving the invasion.
    - First Crusade/Jihad can be called on turn 10.
    - Any army can only join the crusade/jihad if they have the intention to go all the way towards the target and capture it
    - Jihad or Crusade armies are not allowed to fight in battles against armies of same religion.
    - Exploitation of Jihad/Crusade movement points is illegal
    - 2 Crusading/Jihad armies per faction max.

    Battles:

    - All Player vs Player battles must be auto-resolved.
    - Battles against AI can be played.
    Note: Screenshots are to be posted as evidence of auto-resolve(only for player vs player battles).

    Agents:

    - You must have 2 spies or more to open another human player's gates.
    - No exploiting merchants in the form of merchant stack - (Putting several merchants in an army or fort securing a resource).
    - Assassins are not allowed to kill family members.

    Buildings:

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - You can only destroy military and religious buildings 3 turns after the city's capture
    - You shall not be allowed to destroy buildings in a settlement if it is under seige.
    -Ports can't be destroyed.

    Other:

    - No attacking ships inside ports

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - No circling armies in order to destroy them entirely (it mean no surrounding enemy army with several single units,because if enemy army is defeated there will be no survivors,and that is bug)

    - Spawned troops when someone gives you a settlement that is near a war zone have to be disbanded IMMEDIATELY the same turn. If settlement is not in a war zone you are allowed to keep one of them to maintain public order in the settlement.

    -Armies that are defeated in battle by a player that comes after them in the turn list may not move the following turn. This is to make it fair for people who are defeated by players that come before them in the turn list, and thus lose all their movement points

    -Armies that are defeated in battle may not be attacked on the following turn, as they are banned from moving, either by the game mechanics or by the rule above. They must be allowed to move first, or must be reinforced. If the defeated army retreats to a settlement or fort, this rule does not apply.

    - Choose who you wish to be your sub throughout the game (Your ally, friend ect.) or alternatively, the player furthest away will be the sub. Turns must be posted within 24 hours of previous turn(+ 12 additional hours for SUB if turn is not played). If not the admin will sub the turn.

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - No alliances with Pope.

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - If you won't play your turns on time you will be subbed. If this happens many times without a proper explanation, your faction will be made AI.

    *****************************************************************************************************

    - Any actions that may be considered an exploit will be judged by the administrator and other players that are part of this hotseat before decision is made.

    Whoever decides to join please just choose a religion first not faction!You will choose your faction after all 4 players are in 1 religion so that you will decide together who is best to be in front line and who is best to help from save corner(let's say when 4 muslim players decide who gets what,the one who would like to be save and help others will probably get Fatimids who will be crucial at giving support to Turks and Moors, while the one who wants action will probably get Moors or Turks).

    Also since comunication will be crucial in this HS, please be active at least 2times a day.

    If any rule isn't clear please let me know.I don't want to halt the game because someone didn't undersatnd the rules and broke them by accident.

    Any suggestions are Welcome .

    I know.I have considerd giving bonuses to Orthodox factions but they are simply too weak.That's why i've decided to add Cumans to them.

    I was working on one such hotseat when I had spare time at work.
    I was thinking more of an eastern campaign, with set boundaries, and all 4 religions.

    2 Pagan: Lithuania and the Cuman Khanate;
    3 Orthodox: Novgorod, Kiev and Byzantium;
    3 Muslim: Egypt, Turks and the Kwarezmians;
    3 Catholic: Poland, Hungary and the Crusaders.

    And it to be played with a GameMaster - meaning that each faction had costume, unknown to anyone but that faction, winning conditions. Also, the GameMaster was going to be able to issue missions, also only know to the factions issued to, and provide bonuses for each mission accomplished.

    Truly an interesting campaign I'd say.


    Anyways, I was just putting my thoughts out there. Wasn't really implying you should do this.

    I don't like games who are limited to one area.Ther's not that much options what to do.Playing on a larger scale means there's more options on what to do next.But the idea with Game Master isn't that bad.If someone makes HS with that i would like to try it.But i won't have it here because i want the players to organize as groops.That will show how much are they actually capable withouth any missions.

    i wish to try Genoa or Sicily. i think that catholic must have 3 blocks(or 2-depending on the number of players)

    Well those who will play catholics will decide which factions to take to have the best efect.I too was thinking of thinking of Genoa .Well i will have to take something else now.
