Problem starting Third Age Campaign

Hi,

i have Problems starting an Third Age campaign. The Fellowship Campaign is working.
Problems shows as follows:
when i try to start an Third Age campaign i can chose a faction but when i hit the button start, on the low right corner of the screen, i end up again in the menu where i can chose wich campaign i want to play (Fellowship,Third age campaign). Now, in this following menu is no start button anymore and when i hit the back button i end up again in the menu (fellowship asf.), where i was in the beginning.
I´m using the german gold edition (software pyramide it is called here)

i hope, someone can help me.

Hi Khales,

i downloaded the exe and replaced the one in the Kingdoms folder with it but the problem is still there.
Do you have more ideas?

Have you also applied the tw gold kingdoms patch germany previously?

Hi Khales,

I deinstalled the 2.0 1+2 and 2.1 Patch. Installed the kingdoms patch 1.05. Then I reinstalled the whole crap (with the new kingdoms exe) another time and........ the damn problem is still there.
Grrr, Iwant to rebuild Khazad Dum, and not kill my whole system and rebuild it, but I fear it more and more, that this will be the only solution left.

I'm still using Vista (crapy Home Edition). You ask why? Because I´m leasy an poor :-)

Do you have any more Ideas?

Hmkay here we go:

First deinstall everything.

1. Turn of UAC. How to do it you can see here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=360880

2. Don´t use Autorun from the Disc, instead open the disc folder, go to mtw/disk1/ rightclick setup.exe and run as admin

3. After that open the main folder of the disc and rightclick the setup.exe and run as admin

4. rightclick the tw gold kingdoms patch germany and run as admin

5. replace the kingdoms.exe and afterwards rightclick the exe and check the box compability to run it as admin

6. install Third Age (again rightclick and run as admin)

This is my solution i gathered around the forums while i had the same problem as you.
