Crashing/SFX Sound fix
Hey everyone, recently I got truely fed up with my sound mod not working properly. So I desided to dive into the data folder to try and find the cause of my game crashing while rebuilding sound files and why my sounds wernt playing properly. Well I found the causes, there were quite a few, and I fixed them all.
The issue was related to Galloper's mod. Its a wonderful mod, truely fantastic, and using what he did as a basis for my own mod helped hugely. But he was honestly pretty sloppy with some of his coding, which by all means is easily understandable, its grueling work coding in so many files and sounds. It seemed he was adding in stuff planned for future versions, but it was kinda all over the place and was very unfinished besides a few tiny bits here and there. There were alot of referances to accents that didnt exist and a number of lines had a few errors in them. Well A single error with sound kinda makes the game loose its damn mind.
So I went through and edited everything that needed editing and to my absoulte joy, the game loaded up completely, the sound files were finally rebuilt completely, my own mod worked as it should, and beasts (squigs, bors, ect.) actually sounded right! While it was a faint faint hope in my mind while fixing things that the SFX would be fixed as well, my dreams came true and the SFX was working completely!
I edited everything directly out of my data folder (with my mod installed there) so im afraid if you dont want the new voices, but still the fixes, theres nothing I can do.
Im writing all this here to explain the issues and how it was fixed, as well as to hopefully grab some peoples attention and direct them towards the fix. Well, without further ado, heres the link to my mod and the fixes.
