Default The Birth of Rome TW

    The Birth of Rome
Romulus and Remus are adults now. They have decided to found a new city near the Tiberis, but they are fighting to decide which one shall be the founder of it. Alba Longa, their old city, ruled by Numitor, watches the fight of the two brothers. The tribe of the Palatium (Palatine) is fighting for Romulus and the tribe of the Aventinus is fighting for Remus. The Latini of the other hills and the nearest regions have to decide for which of the brothers will they fight for. The Tusci, in the north, are ready to use this civil war to gain control of the region and the Volsci and Equi, in the south, are preparing raiders to sack the Latin settlements.
Who will win the civil war: Romulus, Remus, or maybe the other Latini? Or might the Tusci or the Volsci et Equi subjugate the Latini and kill the two fighting brothers?

Skull, I've seen you can make very good faction symbols... So, could you make the faction symbols for my mod?
    Ideas:
    1)Romulus
Julii symbol with an "R" in the middle.

    Romulus
Romulus, son of Mamers (Mars), grandson of Numitor and brother of his worse enemy, Remus. He was abandoned on the Tiberis and was saved by a wolf with his brother. They were adopted by a farmer and soon became young adults. They decided to leave their adoptive parents' home and decided to found a new city but they both wanted to found a city. So they started a conflict: Romulus controlled the Palatium and Remus the Aventinus.

Romulus, after the start of this war, called his allies on the Palatium and created an army:
    Comites Romulii
Comites Romulii means Comrades of Romulus.
This is the bodyguard of Romulus and its equipment is the best in all Latium. They have a light hoplite armour and a wolf skin and can be used as skirmishers or as heavy infantry. They have two javelins, an italic sword, a medium round shield and an italic helmet. Their presence in battle can change a certain defeat in a heroic victory.
    They can make a warcry.
    Comites Ducis
Comites Ducis means Comrades of the General.
This is the regular bodyguard of Romulus' generals. They wear an italic armour and an italic helmet. They throw a javelin before melee and then use a short sword and a medium round shield. They have a very high morale and inspire the nearby troops.
    Hoplites Electissimi
    Hoplites Electissimi means Elite Hoplites.
This heavy infantry units is equipped with an early heavy hoplite equipment: bronze armour, medium sword, spear, large bronze shield and an italic helmet.
These men are rare in Romulus' army but only a group of these veterans can crush an entire army of latins. They also inspire nearby troops.
They can form a shield wall.
    Hoplites

Hoplites are a unit of veterans armed with an hoplite-like equipment: italic armour, italic roun shield, spear, italic sword and italic helmet.
They are less experienced than the Hoplites Electissimi but are still a very expensive and powerful heavy infantry unit.
They can form a shield wall.
    Praesidies Palatii
Praesidies Palatii means Guards of the Palatine.
This medium elite infantry unit can only be recruited on the Palatium Mons. They wear a light italic armour and an italic helmet, throw a spear before melee and then fight with another spear.
They inspire nearby troops. They are not very much expensive and for this reason are an important unit in Romulus' army.
They have a very good morale.
    Hastati
    Hastati means Spearmen.
This is a medium infantry spearmen unit that is one of the major components of Romulus' army. They throw a spear before melee and use another one in the fight.
They have a light armour (a καρδιοφυλαξ, kardiophylax=defender of the heart, a small bronze plate placed on the chest) and a medium italic shield.
    They have a good morale.
    Pedites Latini
    Pedites Latini means Latin Infantry.
They are the basic medium infantry unit of Romulus' army.
They can be used as skirmishers or as melee infantry. They don't have an armour but wear a helmet and have a medium italic shield. They can throw spears or use them in the fight.
Their morale is not very good but better thant he militia units.
    Pedites Securiferi

    Pedites Securiferi means Axemen.
Romulus adopted an infantry unit of the etruscan, the two-handed axemen.
These are heavy infantry units equipped with etruscan-italic armour, simple helmet and a two-handed axe.
They inspire nearby troops and can make a warcry.
    They have a good morale.
    Vigiles
    Vigiles means Guards.
This light infantry unit is one of the most cheap units in Romulus' army.
They fight with a short spear and a light round shield. They don't have an armour and have low morale.
    Pastores
    Pastores means Shepherds.
These men come from the lands near the Palatium, where they live with their animals. They are recruited in case of a desperate need or if the royal treasure of Romulus is empty. Their upkeep is free and their price is very low. They have a very low morale and don't have an armour. They fight with clubs.
    Milites Palatii
Milites Palatii means Soldiers of the Palatine.
This heavy swordsmen unit is a basic unit of Romulus' army.
They wear a heavy italic armour and fight with a medium sword and a medium round shield and before charging they throw a spear.
    They have a good morale.
    Milites Latini
These are the most basic heavy infantry unit in Romulus' army. They wear a καρδιοφυλαξ and fight with a medium sword and a medium round shield.
Their cost and upkeep is very low but they have a good morale.
    Funditores Latini
    Funditores Latini means Latin Slingers.
They are recruited from the fields around the Palatium.
They throw rocks with their slings and fight in melee (if very necessary) with a medium sword.
    They have low morale.
    Sagittarii Latini
    Sagittarii Latini means Latin Archers.
They are hunters from the woods near the Tiberis flumen (river) and use a small round shield as defense. They fight in melee (if very necessary) with a medium sword).
They have a good morale but are always ready to flee when they are fighting in a melee fight.
    Rorarii
    Rorarii means Javelinmen.
These are the most numerous light infantry units in Romulus' army. They don't have armour but use a small round shield, three javelins and a medium sword.
    Equites Latini
    Equites Latini means Latin Cavalry.
They don't have armour but wear a simple helmet. They fight with a spear.
They don't have very good morale.
    Equites Leves
    Equites Leves means Levy Cavalry.
This cavalry unit doesn't have armour.
They are a skirmish unit and in melee they fight with a medium sword and small round shield.
    They have low morale.
    Equites Tusci Mercennari
Equites Tusci Mercennari means Etruscan Mercenary Cavalry.
They wear a heavy italic armour and fight with medium round shield and spear.
The Tusci (or Etrusci) are allied with Romulus and send to him troops to fight against his brother Remus.
They are an elite cavalry unit and have a very good morale.
    Equites Equi Mercennari
The Aequi (or Equi) are famous for their light infantry and cavalry.
This cavalry unit can be used as a skirmish unit and as a melee cavalry unit.
They have a good morale even in melee.
The Aequi are allied with Romulus but are not very good allies because they could even break the alliance and attack him.
    Pedites Tusci Mercennari
These hoplites come from the Etruscan cities in Latium: Tarquinia and Veius.
They are an elite unit and have a very good morale. They wear an italic version of the early hoplite armour and equipment.
    They inspire nearby troops.

    Thank you!
Remus' symbol should be a wolf (not the capitoline one or the Scipii one) and a "R" on it and a blue background.

    Remus

Remus, son of Mamers (Mars), grandson of Numitor and brother of his worse enemy, Romulus. He was abandoned on the Tiberis and was saved by a wolf with his brother. They were adopted by a farmer and soon became young adults. His brother lived as a thief and bandit and he lived as a shepherd. Soon they have decided to leave their adoptive parents' home and found a new village. The two brothers had to decide which one should found the city so, after a few days, they gathered their allies and started a war.

Remus didn't have external allies (Tusci and Equi) as Romulus, but had good skirmish troops and even chariots from the Aventinus Mons, he also had a lot of troops devoted to certain gods (especially Mamers (Mars) and Menerva (Minerva)):
Comites Remii (Remus' personal guard, elite spearmen, throw spear before melee)
    Comites Ducis (general's bodyguard)
    Equites Aventini (skirmish cavalry)
    Equites Tiberis (heavy cavalry, sword)
Currus Mamertis (heavy chariots, throw javelins)
Currus Aventini (light chariots, throw javelins)
    Hoplites (elite spearmen, very expensive)
Praesidies Aventini (elite heavy skirmishers, javelins, sword, large shield)
Hastati (basic spearmen, throw spear before melee)
Pedites Aventini (basic spearmen, use sling before melee)
    Pedites Securiferi (two handed axemen)
Vigiles Ianus (heavy spearmen, guards of the gateways of the city, Ianus was the god of the doors (in latin Ianua))
    Vigiles (light spearmen, watchmen)
    Pastores (use club)
Milites Aventini (light swordsmen, throw spear before melee)
    Funditores Mamertis (heavy slingers)
    Funditores Aventini (slingers)
    Sagittarii Aventini (archers)
    Sagittarii Menervae (elite archers)
    Rorarii (javelinmen)

I'm going to add descriptions for each unit.
