Default What to do with unfit generals

What do you do with your bad generals? I'm talking so bad that they can't even be trusted to lead a large army for fear of becoming a traitor. So bad that when they are placed inside a city, the population revolts.

I'm not following the house rules precisely but I will also not break them by sending them on a ship and sinking it on purpose. I've used some of these bad generals to build watchtowers or lead small units of cavalry to crush rebels. Whats your punishment for unfit generals?

Occasionally i'll sit them in a fort, to rot, call it sentry duty :p guarding some far-flung narrow mountain pass or bridge. Or similar to yourself Zel, take a small cavalry contingent and harrass small groups of enemies, which often results in an heroic death!

Nah, read the readme. Not a way.
Also you would find there - put them into city with someone else to regain some loyalty. Use them as fort garrison commanders. If they pwn in combat, use them there, just be careful! You can always use the general just for battle for his awesomness and then retreat him to fort!

No, i know. I discover it just been curious. One important officer in an army were the cavalry commander. Well, these guy lead the hole cavalry; is the first one in charge. I think that it would be fun that a general bussy of that, but i didnt want to put a 5 stars general with a huge probability to die. So, affortunaly there was a lazy drunk, luxurious, fat general, who when you put him on a city all turns up into red. Well, he become my cavalry commander...and he did a pretty good job, he start winning stars, for take so many riskys i think (there was a battle when his company where only 2, but the !"·&%& still alive) Well, thats what i do with those generals.

Yes I also have my generals lead small units of cavalry to rout rebels. But building watch towers across your territories is just as important so you can see rebels pop up. Rebels cause your settlement's public order to decrease so it is necessary to have watchtowers to see where they are.

I never check if they are bad generals. The only rules for generals that i have is when they get the trait "won 10 victories for rome" (or something like that) then i will put them in a city for a while. If they rebel with a full legion i will hunt down the legion and punish it by killing every one in the legion. If a city revolts i will send in 3 legions to ether exterminate every one and destroying all buildings that can be destroyed or enslave every one (exterminate/enslave the options you get when conquering a city) after this i will recruit some peasants in other cities to colonize (get a bit more populations if needed) the city if the numbers of inhabitants is to low.

I noticed that generals dont seem to rebel unless they are under the control of a large army. They don't dare rebel when leading only a few units.

Yes. I like how sneaky they are. Thats why I have them lead only a few units of cavalry to rout rebels and build watchtowers.
