Do the games play well enough as in high frames per second & what graphics card do you use?

Looks like it's a graphics card problem if you can't tell from what I've just said, you could check
if there's too much dust in it (once happened with my one, made it slow & sometimes freeze in games)
or it might just be dying, though there's a lot of other possibilities to what it could be.

my graphics card is the NVIDIA GeFoce GTS 250. most of the games i can play on medium to high with no problem at all in frame rate.to check if its got any dirt i would just unplug my computer from surge protector and then unplug my gfx card? also is there any way to find out all the parts name in my couputor like mother board, graphics card, power supple,CPU, because im thinking about upgrading my rig (or my cousin will do it because he knows a load more than me)

NVIDIA used the model you're currently operating with as a rebrand just as ATI/AMD did with the Radeon 9100, a rebrand of the Radeon 8500. However, seeing as it is, from what I assume, a 512MB RAM graphics card and fairly modern, I can't really imagine there is too much to worry about as you are able to play games with fairly high settings as well as retain the quality when using

As suggested, take the side cover off of your tower and carefully clean it out. The tower's are dust magnets and can really be affected by a clump of fluff. When cleaning, however, do not remove the graphics card unless it is covered in a layer of dust. Focus on the fans and other areas on and around the motherboard (being ultra-cautious when approach the motherboard, of course). Put on some marigolds and report back when you've cleaned the internal nothingness of the tower.

Alternatively, you could try seeking an update to your graphics card which can be accessed via the Control Panel, installing the latest version of DirectX or, if all else fails, giving it to a trained technician at a local store.

Well we can gess all day long what is the problem, but you probably need to format the PC first and install everything a new. Normaly its a great remedy and You probably never done that before.
Also the games might freeze becouse of the heat, its pretty comon in the summer. So you need also to check your fans, or install better ones. The dust might afect as well.

Also what Guy said it can be very usefull. wen installing the drivers graphic cards first unistall the ones you have and make a clean install of then. The image might become with low resolution while you doing it, but dont worry its normal.
