Really confused!

i just got the gold version, and installed crusades, teutonic, americas, and britannia campaigns. but when i insert disk 1 again, it won't let me play normal medieval 2. do i have to buy a separate version to play normal med 2? if i don't, which of the 4 folders does SS go in?

You can't run it from launcher? SS goes to ...Medieval II Total War\mods folder, where other 4 are.

SS goes in it's own folder in the mods section, just like the the expansions. To play original Medieval 2 you should still have an icon your desktop for that.

i don't have an icon on my desktop for normal m2. i only have shortcuts for each of the 4 expansions.

also, none of the expansions are in the same folder

The expansions should be in Medieval II Total War\mods. And that is where SS will be installed by default.

i don't think you guys understand. i have NO medieval 2 vanilla, only the kingdom expansions. WTF happened during the install

You got that Gold Edition from the German ComputerBildSpiele this month?

That version is 1.04, not 1.05 and if you gonna patch it up, it won't work anymore.

no. when you install SS it will make its own folder in the mods folder.

probably nothing. if you go into the main folder you should see a mtw.exe and a kingdoms.exe. make a shortcut with them.

i have the gold edition, 100% sure of it, and it only allows me to install the 4 campaigns in a main folder containing nothing but these 4 campaigns. maybe my disk is defective?

try downloading thru steam with your account number for the mtw2 disk.
