    Default Thoughts on Carthage

Started a short Carthage campaign with alex /0 turn /H/H and first thoughts:

    1. Theyre in pretty bad shape all round, as bad as the Seleucids
    2. Corruption is nearly as bad as Seleucids and thats was an eye opener.
    3. I've consistently been able to give the Roman army at the start a good thumping with minimal losses which has surprised me but that same army then gets a real mauling against the next couple of full stacks that Rome throws it him.
    4. Economy after 15 years is still struggling to improve even after capturing 1/2 os espana.
    5. Abandonded Genoa to Rome and sent back Hannibal and the other stack back to Espana as its simply not possible to hold out in Italy. From Northen Spain I've had Hannibal raid roman territory on and off. Captured Sardina and the other settlement and looking to take Scilily.
    6. Army units - not too sure about some of the units but then again I've not built the elite army barracks at Carthage. Cavalry units seem to be good esp the Numidians.
    7. Diplomacy - every other faction including Macedon and the Seleucids refuse to join an alliance and those two should do so.
    8. Naval - Control the seas around Italy, Sciliy, espana and western greece and am making it tough for the Romans in shipping troops to mainland Greece and Illray. they've lost 3 full stacks so far.
    9. The advisor in the battle needs to be changed as he looks totally wrong.

Why does the battlmap advisor look 'wrong'?

    Hi DVK

sorry for the delay in the reply .. well regarding the advisor he does not look as polished as the one used in the Seleucid's campaign, esp with the helmet covering most of his face and you see only the lower half. .. its just my opinion though.

I'm currently testing the Syracuse camp so not sure when I'll have another play with Carthage.

    Cheers
