Unspecified errors. How common?

Hello,

I downloaded and installed this awesome mod yesterday night(version 1.4.4 full english with music), and in the 30 mins i have played it, i have had like 5 "unspecified errors". Is this common with this mod or should i try to reinstall it? Maybe some file haven´t gone to correct place or something, because if game has some many crashes for all, it is not really playable atm :s.

I have another more specify question. When you download the 11 files(by parts) and you unzip them, you get one executable+ other 6 (setup.....) format unknown files. Do we have to touch them? I just executed the executable and installed it´s files in mods folder, in the medieval 2 total war folder. Should this be enough or i am missing something?

i have the same version installed but i hardly get any CTD's in-game i played like 70 turns with one or 2 CTDs, it is the menu that i have troubles with, for example if i keep moving from one menu page to another chances are pretty high that by clicking something (like a faction for the campaign) i would get a CTD, its kind of annoying but not that big of a deal.

After you installed did you follow the advice in these threads ?

I had quite a lot of unspecified crash errors before I did what is in those threads but turning off autosave and following those instructions helped a lot. I still get some CTDs but not a lot.

I still get a number of them but doing the stuff in the link menawati provided helps cut down on the beasts

Uninstall and try re-installing as an administrator, if you haven't done so already. (And concerning the other installation files [such as any with a ".bin" extension], you don't need to touch them. The only file you need to run is the executable "setup" file.)

Also, have you completed the post-installation cleanup of the "Call_of_Warhammer" folder?

As a standard redundancy, have you updated Kingdoms to v1.5?

Thanks a lot! Only one question. The first "map.rwm" you have to delete is the one of the original medieval 2 total war right? (As you do it before installing the mod). Does this causes any bad effect to the "original" total war?

Delete map.rwm from CoW folder.

i have downloaded the full 1.4.4 version with translation and that version had a translation error which caused crashes but it can be solved using the latest translation (even if you have the translated version by default).
