Independent computer manufacturer Mesh has gone into administration and ceased trading, according to administrator MacIntyre Hudson.
Although the Mesh website remains up and running, MacIntyre Hudson issued a statement saying “following a thorough review of the financial position of Mesh Computers, the decision was made by the Board of Directors to place the company into administration".

According to MacIntyre Hudson, the company was put into administration and sold to PC Peripherals yesterday, leaving customers with outstanding orders to approach their card companies for a refund.
“If you have made a payment via credit card for goods and/or services due to be delivered by Mesh Computers and these goods have not yet been received then you should contact your credit card provider immediately to discuss the possibility of a refund,” the accounting firm said.
“Under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, you may be entitled to claim a refund for purchases between £100 and £30,000,” it added.
Anyone who paid by cheque or debit card needs to contact the administrator and request a Proof of Debt form to make a claim from the accountancy firm. MacIntyre Hudson warned a response could take seven days.

Sounds like a con to me. The guy who bought out Mesh runs a company call PC Peripherals who at one point was on the board of directors at Mesh computers. It sounds like they have let Mesh Computers go to pot and allowed it to rack up a load debt, placed it into Administration and the former directors have bought out all the valuable assets for their new company leaving nothing behind for the creditors of Mesh which most likely includes unpaid PAYE and VAT receipts which means employees NI contributions won't be rewarded.

another one bites the dust ...

PC maker Cube 24/7 enters liquidation

    Follows MESH, OP3 into oblivion

By Matt Egan | PC Advisor | 14 June 11

PC builder Cube 24/7 ceased training and entered liquidation at the end of May. No buyer has been found for the brand or any of its assets, so Cube 24/7 will simply cease to exist (unlike similar recent cases MESH Computers and OP3). Its website is down, and customers who have ordered PCs and not yet received them should not expect to.

The liquidator, PR Booth & Co, has said that PC purchasers who are owed money are unlikely to get any money back, and should contact their credit card company in order to make a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
Further details can be obtained from Phil Booth or Neil Marshall of PR Booth & Co (phone 01924 263777).

I can't see anything that links the two companies but have only only glanced so welcome any additional information...

The current Directors of Mesh are:

    Mehdi Sherafati
    Mirsaeid Sheykholeslami

The only previous Director I can see is Ramiz Padashi-Fard

The current Directors of PC Peripherals are:

    Reza Jafari
    Fereshteh Jafari

The only previous Directors etc was the startup company used with the formation.

I've glanced at the shareholders and can't see any links there either.

But the whole affair does stink. At Dec 2009 PC Peripherals had a recorded £1,691 in their bank and at this very same date Mesh Computers had £1.8M of stock. Fair enough this is over a year ago and statutory accounts can be fudged but I wouldn't think PC Peripherals could afford to buy Mesh because although phoenixing is frowned upon it is still legal if done properly - which means paying the fair market value for stock. I suspect this hasn't been done

Were Cube 24/7 the makers of all those powerful rigs you'd see on Ebay all the time?
