    Default New book

Yay! The Seleucid Army: Organization and Tactics in the Great Campaigns just shipped! Of course, we're nearly done now (I tried to order it awhile ago, but it went badly), but it's never too late for a cool book.

(I managed to work out a big discount in a kind of complicated way. Long story. Short version is that I'm still mad at Borders.)

Looks good! Let us know if it's any good, I might get a copy if I spot it on sale. For those wanting a cheaper read, this time on the Ptolemaics, this one looks quite good.

I managed to acquire it new for only $45 out of pocket, but it was a massive pain.

Update: it just arrived. Like I was hoping, it's a new copy.

I have this book. Its pretty good! But I don't like the way the words are typed. Its like reading a book thats been written with a type writer and then been photocopied.

Still, its got some great information in it.

I have the book on the Ptolemaic empire too. Its not bad, but I didn't think it was that good either. I'm very indifferent about it.
