    Default General Traits

So I was in the middle of a campaign as Prussia. Blucher's stats show that he should get a total of +3 command for leading cavalry and total of +3 command for leading infantry. But what if he has both in his army? Because I noticed he only had the base three command, and wasn't receiving the bonus for either one, even though he had 4 units of cavalry and 11 units of infantry with him. Does whether or not he receives either extra set of 3 command depend on the ratio between cavalry and infantry under his command? Is it going to be possible to only receive one set of three?

Is Blucher not a 7star general at campaign start? But yes, an army with both elements boosts a generals commandstars. But why bother, as it is the morale traits that really matters.

He starts out the campaign as a 3-star general with the traits Aggressive Attacker (+2 command when attacking on land), Riding Master (+2 command when leading cavalry units), and True Blue Prussian (+3 when leading infantry, and -1 morale), but he also has the follower Favorite Charger(+1 command when leading cavalry units). It wasn't until now, later in my Prussian campaign, that I actually checked those stats. My set up for his army throughout this campaign has been four cavalry units, four artillery units, and eleven units of infantry. That set up doesn't give him the additional command stars from either True Blue Prussian or Favorite Charger and Riding Master, with him being a 3-star general throughout the campaign. And I so far haven't been able to find an army set up that gives him all the command stars from Favorite Charger, Riding Master, and True Blue Prussian.

When you have a general specialized on a type of military unit, you must, have a greater ratio of that kind of units within his army in order to boost his command stars. For example as Blucher, you must have more cav units than arty, and infantry under his command. That worked for me, now, for what i'm seeing of your Blucher's description Tom, he also has 3 command stars inf, i wasn't aware of that, till now, heh. So i'm thinking that it might be suitable to have an equal ratio of cav and infantry and still have him as a 6 star general or maybe even higher.

Anyway to have a high level star commander allows your general to be protected from spy assessination attempts because of that same reason. The more stars a general got, the lesser chances it got from being a victim of an a assassination.

So, general's morale points add to the unit's morale in battle ?

What do the command points do in the battle?

The guy with the most command stars gets to watch his foe's deployment before having to decide how to deploy his own units. Other than that I'm not aware of command stars having any effect at all.

Ah thanks. I didn't know that. It's useful to deploy second.
