Need help gettin cd key

My friend wants to borrow HL2, but i no longer have the cd key. So, is it possible to get the key somewhere off my computer

Did you use steam? If so just have him log into your account.

Just don't doa google search for the cd-key...

Can't you just call.......the company that makes HL2 and ask what your number was? It works with RTW.....

You should be able to get it somehow twnoob and the only way I would have known to check was probably Steam as I think you have to register with them to actually play the game, some stupid anti-piracy thing that they did! All you have to do is log-on to Steam, and you should have it there, otherwise I aint' to sure. Have you actually got it installed onto your Computer twnoob and if so you could easily obtain it in the actual game options' I think, Call Of Duty 2 does it..... <_<

start=>run=>then type 'regedit' and press enter

then search for steam/half-life 2 or something like that

edit: If you do not find your CD-key, press CTRL+F and serach for either

'steam'

'valve'

'hl2'

'half-life 2'

I know it's a hassle, but this is also a great way to change your CD-key later on after you've installed the game, so you don't need to reinstal the game to change your CD-key

(for whatever reason that might be neccesary )
