how do you add a Garrison to a settlements?

i tried searching for the tutorial using the index but all i could find was the garrison script and not adding a simple garrison army to an existing settlement to prevent anyone from just walking in there and capturing it.

so can anyone please point me to the right direction?

You have to determine the co-ordinates of the settlement. Simply open your game and place the mouse cursor over the settlement.
Open the console by typing ~
Now type show cursorstat press return and note down the co-ordinates.
You can now create an army in descr_strat and give it those co-ordinates, they will then be the garison.
