    Default Occupation resistance and Siege length

    I have been trying to find a way to increase occupation resistance to use a 12 turns/year mod version, but I'm unable to find where are hidden those variables I can only find AI bonus for them... Have anyone found where they are?


    And what about of siege turns?

    gentleman_happiness or something effect. I can't remember the exact text, but you can find it in the effects table.

    in the campaign variables table you can also edit looting penalties there.

    I use this in the difficulty handicap though. The gentleman happiness effect I mean.

    Yes I found looting penalties, but I was looking for taking over penalties, I'm playing with 12 turns/year and I want to make them last longer..

    About the gentleman happiness I'm not sure what it does, it seems a happy bonus/penalty, not a foreign invasor effect...

    Yeap.... a citadel should last something like two years. Like those loonies on their monasteries that Oda crushed.

    • 1583: Toyotomi Hideyoshi commenced construction on the site of the Ikkō-ikki temple of Ishiyama Hongan-ji. The basic plan was modeled after Azuchi Castle, the headquarters of Oda Nobunaga. Toyotomi wanted to build a castle that mirrored Oda's, but surpassed it in every way: the plan featured a five-story main tower, with three extra stories underground, and gold leaf on the sides of the tower to impress visitors.
    • 1585: Inner donjon completed. Toyotomi continued to extend and expand the castle, making it more and more formidable to attackers.
    • 1597: Construction completed but Hideyoshi died. Osaka Castle passed to his son, Toyotomi Hideyori.

    Just sayin' - realism is fine, but sometimes it is more fun if things don't take quite that long
    The AI will be able to handle very long buildtimes, but usually only in their capital, since they tend to loose and recapture regions fairly often unless you do something to change that.

    In my mod you need like 10 years to upgrade from the lowest castle to citadel. But this is really expensive! I'm trying to improve the quality of the starting castles so the main clans survive even better...

    Thanks, that's how it works.. now I'm trying to reduce garrison efects..
