Default Looking to get rid of 2 XFX Radeon 6870s

So i just purchased a new GTX 580 which is coming in next week so I'm looking to get rid of my 2 6870s. One is a week old while the other is a month and a half old. I registered both cards for lifetime warranty. However one card might be faulty. It works perfectly no artifacts or anything but the core clock will not raise any higher then 775 MHz. RMA is possible with XFX. PM me for more details. If these types of topics aren't allowed please feel free to close it.

Asking price for both together is $300. Individually i would like $160 but am willing to negotiate with the faulty gpu. Will ship after I get my 580 installed.

Items can be shipped on request in their boxes with all the extras. However I lost one of the crossfire bridges. Willing to pay for shipping anywhere in the states but will not sell internationally. Don't really want to deal with the different currency rates unless paypal is able to do that for me.

Heres an image of what you'll be getting. And fear not i know its on a blanket but i was careful and placed it on its anti static bag. The other one is still in my machine so i couldn't take a picture but you will receive the same items with the 2nd one.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Must pay with paypal and will ship once transaction is validated.

Also i'm trying to sell this thing locally too so if it's gone soon I'm sorry. I need the money and will sell to the first best offer

EDIT: Willing to reduce total price to $260. $120 for the faulty gpu which can be RMA'd and $140 for the gpu thats in perfect condition

You could have bought 2 GTX570's for $600 rather than 1 GTX580 for I would assume $475ish dollars.

board doesnt support sli so i just went with the 580. If i went with sli 570s i would have had to upgrade several parts of my computer. The PSU, the mobo. Just not worth the extra cash. I also wanted to go back to a single GPU because there are less problems. Crossfire was too wonky for me.

I've used SLI for 3 years now... SLI'd GTX260's, then Sli'd GTX460's, then a single GTX580 at launch (which I sold 3 weeks later due to poor performance compared to the Sli'd GTX460's I had prior) and now Sli'd GTX570's which I will use until the GTX600 series launches this fall.

I have never once encountered an SLI related issue, Nvidia is solid. Hopefully your GTX580 works out better for you then it did me, without SLI minimum frame rates drop a bit too much IMO, although the SLI'd GTX460's I had didn't match the performance of a GTX580 they did keep my minimum frame rate higher which can be a killer in more demanding games.

I'm not gaming at the biggest res, which is 1600x900. BUT with a 580 and at this resolution i could be gaming great for 2-3 years. and please don't mock my purchase at my resolution... i know a 580 is way to much for my res but with it also comes the ability to upgrade my set up SLOWLY..

And yea i heard SLI is more stable then crossfire. Less problems and more support, I just want a single gpu though due to the temps outputted by my set up already.. Just too much for my liking

It's not too probable that you'll be able to sell them here, most people building their system seem to have
a firm knowledge not to buy 2nd hand components, even if in this case it would save them $30+.

160$ for each is alot, special when new they can be found for 7-20$ more only.be 1 day or 1 week, used is used i would say 100-120$ on best case scenario unless someone is very desperate and buy for allmost the original price good luck ! ChaobSiroc is right 570 sli's would be better or for the price of 580 you can buy two gigabyte 560 ti soc for the same price !
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.

yea i know i'm asking to much.. why i was saying i was willing to negotiate. especially for the faulty one.. Lowest i would go is $140 for each though since they're not that old. Would sell that thing for $120 bucks and you can just RMA it for a new one.

EDIT: looks like someone local is gonna buy my faulty one.. so that is now off the market. Still selling the other for $140.

Has the card already been registered for warranty by you? I'm not sure if AMD do that or they require
    a proof of purchase

I would have seen if any of my friends wanted it but the shipment costs would be hellish for you to send
it here so probably better not.

XFX allows the warranty to be transferred one time. No other company offers this service.

as for the xfire vs sli comment above thats not true crossfire and sli are equally well supported.

difference is Nvidia offers better support pre release AMD has better support after a game is released.

that and if you run crossfire but dont use the CAP profiles you hamstring yourself. eitherway a GTX 580 will be a good card for the long haul for most users. long as there powersupply can handle it

and if your board supported crossfire im sorry to say it DOES support SLI, theres an easy SLI hack that enables sli on any crossfire motherboard. rather simple to use done it myself many times
especially on AMD systems as Nvidia doesnt make nforce boards anymore.

Thing is from what i've seen the latest drivers the hack supports is 265.xx.. I don't know about you but the games I'm playing now like the Witcher 2 and soon to be Skyrim and Battlefield 3 aren't optimized on those drivers so it defeats the purpose. And yea i did use the CAP files but i just got tired of how unreliable they are. The newest CAP 4 caused a game breaking glitch in The Witcher 2 and CAP 3 introduced the light bleeding effect where lights would bleed through walls. From my stint with crossfire I much prefer running a single GPU set up. If i do end up deciding to SLI later that'll be when the 6xx series comes out for Nvidia and I'll grab another 580 at a reduced price

and you realize they will be updated again. its not like there not updated but it is a group of tech users who are reverse engineering one of the largest GPU companies drivers and software solutions whom have thousands of people in there employ keep that in mind.

the sli hack is much like the Omega drivers for AMD / ATi gpus years ago.

and weird ive had 0 issues with The Witcher 2 with my crossfire setup. game runs fine as do all my games really. the only games that has issues for me at the moment out of 100+ titles
Grand Theft Auto 4 since it dosent support multi gpu at all.
Takeda 3 which dosent like the newer 11.x drivers.

but yea multi gpu tech on both sides has some issues its not really a perfect solution. but really that comes down to the millions of hardware configurations.
