Shogun 2 pc build
So the pc I built to play Rome total war has served me faithfully for years but I think it's time I got a new one.
Im looking at getting a 24 inch monitor that has a native resolution of 1920x1080 but will play the game at a lower res so I it doesnt tax the new machine.
I am aiming to build a pc that will play shogun 2 at high/medium settings with the largest unit size possible at 1680 resolution. I am trying to keep costs as low as possible.
Here is what I have planned so far
Motherboard: ASRock M3A770DE (Cheap but seems to do the job)
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=M3A770DE
Ram Kingston HyperX T1 KHX1600C9D3T1K2/8GX (8gb ram because I work with ram intensive programs)
Processor: Phenom II X4 955
Graphics card: Thinking of a single radeon HD 6850 as it comes with shogun 2 afaik which means it should play it pretty well). Im still not 100 percent sure what graphics card to go with though)
Power supply: Whatever will supply my needs without blowing up in my face. I have no idea.
The only pc I have ever built was years ago and things have really changed since then. I could use everyone's help picking out parts that will work together and let me experience the latest games in the total war series and other games (bf3 and skyrim come to mind)
