Well, I started looking into the Gorillaz music, and it's actually pretty good. It seems like I can like hip hop when it isn't too 'Yeeeah Boyz and hoes, but here's some serious stuff from my life y'all, and the other gang" or when music isn't just being used to make the song not poetry. So, can somebody give me examples of more Alternative Hip Hop bands and the like.

Definitely Deltron 3030, as well as:

Handsome Boy Modeling School. Dan "the Automator" Nakamura produced Gorillaz's debut album as well as Deltron 3030. They have a nice mix of samples, RnB, and of course hip-hop:
    The Truth
    I've Been Thinking

Hieroglyphics. Features Del tha Funkee Homosapien from Gorillaz songs like 'Clint Eastwood' and 'Rock the House' as well as the vocalist of Deltron 3030:
    Classic

Most definitely Gnarls Barkley or Broken Bells. Danger Mouse (who produced 'Demon Days') is part of both and Gnarls features Cee-Lo Green of Goodie Mob and " You' fame.

    Gnarls Barkley:
Mystery Man (may be a little strange, but just work with it)
    Run
    Going On

    Broken Bells:
    The High Road
    October

    Welcome to quality music.

You might want to check out stuff on Ninja Tune like Coldcut for example or stuff on El Mestizo Records like Tom Block...
It's always the indie labels who produce the best music, wether it's hip-hop (i would rather call it trip hop in these cases) or any other style of music
