Default Merc's - how to make them recuitable

Ok would like to mod my game [SPQR 6.0] to enable a "zone of recuitment" for merc's. ie take an city with elephant resource, now u can recuit elephant merc etc. Have edited Unit file and Buildings file, np so far, am able to retrain the elephant merc but unable to recuit them? In building broswer it says i can recuit them, but no card appears in the build choices. Plz help Budd.

It would be better if you provide the entries of one merc unit in export_descr_buildings and export_descr_unit, just to find the mistake.

That is not enought. You need edit a export_descr_unit.txt file too. You should add faction which you want to can recriuit mercenary units.
Then you should to edit a descr_model_battle.txt and add path to graphics files for your faction.
Finaly you should copy icons for your mercenary units from /merc folder to proper folder for factions which will can recruit this mercenary troops.
