If you're going EB you'd better start your download now, those of you with it installed make sure it's a clean one, just 1.1, 1.2 and the fixes.
Get version 1.1 full installer, then the 1.2 patch then the 3 fixes.
Main installer and Patch:

Check the install path on 1.2 before clicking next, there will be a message in brackets that you will have to delete after choosing the path, not before.

The FTP links work nice, if you have performance issues on the campaign map you can switch the sea graphics back to vanilla here:

I would also recommend taking a look at the still relevant Romani build tree while you're waiting, the rest are included with the download. Romani tree can be found here:

Here's the units, better to know them now so you aren't confused about their names later:

For RP purposes, here is how we can get reforms early or something. I believe it still works, the thread can be found here:

Also, remember, we do not use Denarii in this mod for dealing with other factions or buildings, the monetary system is explained here:

Last Tip: The rebel faction in EB is very strong, They represent factions that did not get into the game so for the most part taking these cities will be difficult and each area of rebels should be treated as another faction, and the fame for fighting them should be the same as any others. For example, some of the best troops in the entire game are in a rebel city to the North of Rome at the start.
