    Default Winter, 197 B.C.

This is just a simple question about something I encountered in RTR: is Numidia scripted to be eliminated automatically in 197 B.C?
I'm currently playing as the Romans (v 6.0 Gold, I think....not sure if the install worked >_>), and although I'm not near Numidia (never conquered Carthage....stupid Gauls), I did notice via the toggle_fow command that they were apparently still going strong before their death....while still confined to their usual lands, they were not at war. So this puzzles me: did all of their cities just happen to rebel at the same time (which would be something indeed), or are they scripted to simply vanish at that time?

Why is it that at least one of the Romans are wusses?

From what I know, there are no scripts in Gold.

Mmm....it is possible that they were running low on family members and the last one(s) died fighting rebels or something.....huh. This is strange indeed....>_>

That is most likely, in my 2 games Numidia is allready eliminated by then.

What really confuses me about all this is that Numidia had like 5 territories, and they all just suddenly went Rebel...no conquest or anything >_>...ah well....I'm about to win the game anyway

    Or he was assasinated?

Actually I think that if the last leader of a faction dies, then a new one should be randomly generated (after-all, there's always someone left who wants to rule). It would be an adoption event that would fire when you run out of leaders and still have cities left.

To my knowledge, we do not have a script or something of that sort that just makes them die. Most likely, their faction leader and his heirs died in battle against rebels or against other factions or was just plain old assasinated.

This generates more questions, unfortunately....I've often noted that Rebel armies rarely move, and when they do, it's never very far....so when I used toggle_fow and looked at Numidia (in the same year of its fall), there were no Rebel armies nearby....I don't know if toggle_fow will reveal spies/assassins, but experience has taught me that even a level 10+ assassin has virtually no chance of eliminated even the faction HEIR....come to think of it, however, there IS one way that makes total sense....plague. If the plague hit a city, it wouldn't matter if the last faction members left or not...
the downside of this is that now Carthage can focus all of its attention on Egypt...I liked it when they were all fighting each other.

Oh, and while I'm talking about Carthage....in the game I'm playing now, Carthage had lost all of its territory in Hispania to the Iberians....but while besieging a city, it suddenly turned Carthaginian....now, I'm aware that cities that rebel can go back to their former rulers, but what puzzles me is that this territory had been under Iberian rule for a long, long time now....might this have something to do with a lack of Auxillia buildings or Iberian temples?

And just to annoy you all one last time....how many of you have found that, in your games, factions will occassionally bribe away random territories halfway across the map? So far this has happened with the Aremenians (at the southeaster edge of the map), the Gauls (who, before I bribed it away, had Gallacia in Asia Minor), and the Parthians (in the Middle East...this has saved them, since the Bactrians have overrun their homeland >: D), and the Greeks (Narbo-whatever, but they made more sense...)

This happens quite often when there is a high revolt level in a city. They go back to their former masters and their preferred culture when the Iberians failed to "tame" them.
