Default How do you know when the Storm of Chaos is over?

Does anyone know whether there is a special event that is triggered when you defeat the Storm of Chaos?

I remember reading that the way to defeat the Storm is to kill Archaon and his herolds. I'm currently on turn 112 of my campaign. I have killed Archaon, three of his herolds, and the Chaos Undivided faction leader. The fourth herold was, I think, killed by Empire troops - at least I can't find him anywhere. However, no event was triggered.

So, those of you who have defeated the Storm, was there any special notification of this?

I have only been able to withstand the Storm of Chaos, not beat it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I have taken settlements from the Storm of Chaos, but I have never fully destroyed it.

You have no friends when you are the Vampire Counts dear Toho. Nobody likes a Corpse Raiser.

So I guess people's experience so far is that there is no special event to mark the end of Storm of Chaos.

This confirms my review of the historical events and campaign script text files - I could find text/commands pertaining to the beginning of SoC, but nothing about the end.

This is an opportunity to improve the mod, in my opinion. After all, the whole point is to withstand the Storm of Chaos, so it'd be nice to have some actual notification that the Archaon and his herolds are, in fact, dead, and the strength of the Chaos offensive is spent...

(now that my earlier post was ignored ) Furthermore, wouldn't it be nice having a message for each of the fallen heralds of chaos? And of coarse of archaon himself.

So there is no pop-up event telling you that you can chill now, that was the last of scripted armies?
I'm at turn 76, I've killed Archaon and the herold of Slaanesh already ^^ Playing as Nordland, I love those guys.

This is an interesting question. Would be nice to have more objectives though, maybe in the future having more lands to conquer, etc....

I dont think there is a message announcing the end of the storm of chaos. I didnt notice any new stacks after the initial stacks of the storm.

It should be when you "kill" Archaon.

I think that pop-ups for Archaon and each of his Heralds would do. In my Nordland campaign the Storm was over in 12 turns - after that Archaon, his Heralds and all his invading armies were dead. Now I am conquering the northlands

    !!!!

I just have been rewarded (quest: take Vargs Settlement) with 4 units of Bright Wizards.

Honestly, after the Storm is over (i.e you beat all those scripted stacks) the game gets both more interesting and boring. Why more interesting? The alliances that keep the factions close seem to weaken - around turn 100 in my Nordland campaign Ostermark is at war with the Dwarves, Talabecland attacked Hochland, Wissenland got attacked by Averland, as a result the High Elves are left with almost no allies, so they are a nice target for me.
But why more boring? Around turn 100 you have all the money you'll ever need. During the "Summer Fairground" I profit 170k per turn, else my income is around 50k per turn. No struggle with money = you can faceroll over everything.
(How I did it? Set taxes to low - more people means more taxes means cities develop faster - and GET MARIENBURG - a well developed Marienburg alone gives me 40k income during Summer Fairground!)

We definitely need a script submod - to add more events after chaos storm. Where is a greater scripter when we need one?

Squalor is a risk, but this way when Chaos hits your cities you have Cannon Tower already up. Defend a Wooden Wall settlement from 2 Chaos stacks and defend a Large Stone Wall + Cannon Tower settlement from the same army

one of my suggestions has been to make a civil war happen between the good factions at turn 100. for example a few provinces ally with each other while others ally others. throw a little imagination in there too and we got another 30 or 40 turns of epic fun.
