    Default Installation Files Corrupt

Got this message while attempting to install SPQR 8.0

First a popup like "installation files corrupt. Redownload files and reinstall"

and this text in red on the installer

    "CRC failed in Data\terrain\battlefield\sub_arctic\winter\pebble.tga.dds
    Unexpected end of archive"

This is my second attempt at trying to install. I used both websites for the download. The first one, after I installed seemed fine, but when I attempted a custom or quick battle, I got automatic CTD.

Then I used the second site and this happened.

Its also not my first time playing SPQR, so I'm pretty sure I'm installing it right.

EDIT: I think I didn't download all of the files the second time, but I re downloaded them and I still get a CTD before I do any battles

I meant that the download got interrupted so it didn't download all of the files in the download.

Nevertheless, I found the solution to my problem.

For some reason when I have the folder named "The Creative Assembly" in my program files, the download doesn't work. So I just put a folder on my desktop and named it Rome - Total War and it works fine...

i notice you say you do custom battles. Dunno if its changed. But they were never really supported in this mod. many of the default stuff concerning them causes a ctd cause things have been changed, or no longer exist.

or at least thats what i remember!
