    Default unspecified error

    hello guys,

i'm playing early campaign (SS6.4) with Crusaders nation on XP

since turn 102, i encountered a lot this unspecified error (always during a turn or a battle) .. i always succeed to "solve" it changing the movements of my armies or my strategy in general

since this morning, from turn 108 to 109, it stops while running England i think

    i saved my saves because i wanted to uninstall / re-install SS6.3 then 6.4, what i did (hope it wasn't a mistake !)
i replaced my saves in the right folder (MIITW / Mods / SS6.3 / saves) after re-installing but the same unspecified error occur but now when loading my last save

    here is the system.log :

OK .. i understand why my load wasn't possible : the game was ruled with late campaign and my save early campaign ...

but still have "unspecified error" during turn from 109 to 110 and stops at England

i read that i could kill a nation but don't know how to ?
if i kill one nation, they will become rebels ?
what if i got this error each 10 turns ? within 50 years, the whole world will be rebels ?

    thx again

    toogle fow
    show_cursorstat

    Good day all,

another "unspecified error" from turn 128 to 129 with Kiev

i tried to search for solutions but now i think it's too hard for me !

after a "toggle_fow" before launching the turn i saw the city of Pereyaslav completly full of units but i can't see which units .. they're all marked with "?" which is normal

after launching the turn and looking slowly AI movements of Kiev, a small army (1 or 2 units) gets out of Pereyaslav and this small army movement provokes the CTD unspecified error

    i tried the command :

list_units <Pereyaslav> but not recognize even with and without " "

so, how could i move this complete army from Pereyaslav ? i have no Captain name ..

i tried capture_settlement but doesn't work into the console
bane_tw wrote somewhere that it works on campaign_script.txt but i don't know in which line i have to write that

is it possible to give this city to rebels ? i don't want it

thanks again in advance for your help !

You can use "surrender_regions kievan_rus" but this would kill the whole faction. I would teleport one of my armies and attack the city or you can teleport a spy, increase his skill via console if necessary und use him to identify if there is a leading general present.

    thanks bane_tw for your suggestions

Kievan Rus was my ally but i've teleported an army of mine to besiege Pereyaslav ..

after that, the error came from another person, that i moved .. at the end, i moved quasi-everybody from Kiev (diplomat, princess, priest, boat ..) but whatever the persons or the place where i moved them, always the same error

surrender_regions works well, the turn can finish, but this solution is too heavy for me

i'd like to cheat with minimum interactions on the environment

isn't there a kill_character "name" code via the console ? or any others suggestions plliiizzz (no movement / no action for one turn for instance) ?

You can try the ones below, personally never needed / tested them:
disable_ai : disables the ai, so that it does nothing
halt_ai : halts the turn sequence just before the start of the specified faction's turn, or the current faction if no faction given
run_ai : re-starts an ai turn sequence after disableai or haltai has been triggered
I expect the syntax to be : command <faction>

i tried to teleport an assassin to kill first one suspected princess then all Kievan persons, run the turn with "disable_ai" but always this same error ..

even with "surrender_regions kevian_rus" which works well, the error still comes but now from Kingdom of Leon

the error wins by frustration KO !! i give up !

join the club , I had to restart a campaign because of nasty ctds. But with my new one i got no ctd so far.

Maybe it was Castile in the first place? You could use 'halt_ai spain' (or Spain) and take the turn, it will stop 'thinking' right before this faction...

One final alternative is to load a previous save ( a few turns back) and do a few things differently.

Hello and thanks for your rep ..
i did note all your cheat code and will try later because too busy nowadays .. in all way, no question at all to restart a new campaign but ok to try to end this Crusader one only if less than 2 hours of cheating

good game to lucky mates !
