    Default EB for BI crashes?

I've essentially used EB for BI for a long long time, and I notice very consistent crashes. Almost always, the game will crash after a battle if I've fought 2-3 battles without exiting the game and re-opening it. As well, later in the game, it will crash more often during the end turn shifts.

Is this a symptom of EB for BI, since this doesn't seem to be a major complaint in the EB threads? Because it's a pretty huge and pretty severe issue. If it weren't for this, I probably wouldn't ever play any other RTW mod again.

RTW 1.5 and BI (RTW 1.6) suffer both from a memory leak, so this is normal
Restarting the game after 2h of playing helps in most times, waiting at the battle result screen until the music stops helps too.

Apart from that, I'm afraid there is less one can do against engine related random crashes.

Meaning everyone experiences this? It becomes extremely difficult to play late in the campaign as these sorts of crashes become far more frequent during End Turns

Would doing the single-processor thing mentioned in that link make much/any difference?

The best thing is to keep multitude saves, 1 every season to be overwritten after a year, 1 every five years or so.

And yes, that is something we all have to live with, we can't change the engine....
That single-core is worth every spend time!
