Default Editing Marian reforms in descr_events?

Im curious, the descr_event lists the events and when they happen, is it therefor possible to edit the date of the marian reforms or make the plagues in Macedonia disappear altogether?

The marian reforms cannot be edited. CA originally intended for them to happpen at a certain date, then changed their minds. I am not sure about the plague in macedonia.

But if I activate the date it will come with the date and not with a building.

aaahh I wanted to skip pre-marius troops and get straight to the marian reforms, so i deleted all pre-marian trooops from export_descr_buildings and replaced with reform troops. Then I changed the start date to 150BC to make it coincide with marian reforms. It takes a good half hour to edit the details but seems easy enough. Is this any help to you?

You could have just changed the "and marian reforms"/something like that line.

Well the way I did it makes sence to me. Its a shame you couldnt just edit the marius event dates, rather than it occuring when you build the governors palace. ah well :-(

Imperial Palace, not Governer's. Yes, unfortunatly there is no way to change the Reforms. I tried to set them to 268BC and that did nothing. Not possible.

well I know I cant edit other events... like I stated in the original post, I was concerned with more than just the Marian event, I was/am also looking at the ability to edit other events, which by editing this file, I am able to do.

All the editting that need be done is change the troops the Romans start with in descr_strat.txt, and then remove the pre-Marian troops from expor_descr_buildings.txt and remove the and marian_reforms line. If you run into any trouble, just PM me. Only thing is, you can't get Armoured Generals until the Marian Reforms are triggered proper...you can mod starting general's bodyguards, but that's about it for that part.

ENSURE that there is only ONE space after the { roman, } in the expor_descr_buildings.txt. Otherwise, it'll crash the game. Don't bother changing the spaces in lines you aren't modding (the stages races line has no spaces after it).
