    Default "Kingdoms.exe not found" HELP!!

Ok so i have the kingdoms expansion from the box and i also have medieval 2. My computer is powerful enough to run shogun 2 so im pretty sure this is simply user error due to the fact that i am not so amazing at this kind of stuff. I have windows 7 and am downloading the patch for kingdoms now because i heard that the lack of the patch could be the problem. Basically when i double click the shortcut it brings up the black command screen and an error box saying that it cant find kingdoms.exe asking if i spelled the name correctly??

I have no idea what all this means all i know is kingdoms runs just fine so i believe it is in the right place... can someone help me?! thanks a ton in advance!

p.s. oh also i have redownloaded and installed the the mod twice now and still nothing

The first step I would try would be open the the folder where the mod is installed and double left-click on the Third Age.bat file and see if that will launch the mod.

On my system it is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age folder.

If Kingdoms worked before you applied the patch then you have probably used the wrong patch. There are many versions of the v1.05 patch and you must select the correct one based on your version and language.

It has that but it still doesn't work! I have the same problem as well. Here's exactly what the black box says: C:/Windows/system32>cd ../..
    C:/>start kingdoms.exe @mods/Third_Age/TATW.cfg

The slashes are all going the other way, the right way, I just couldn't type them.

I've just encountered this same error today, and after spending the past hour searching the wild web and this forum, the only fix I've found is to uncheck "Run as Admin", which oddly enough I had just enabled yesterday, while the game was running. Worked great after that.

My game(3.1) had been running mostly fine until I started applying some of the fixes found in the stickied thread, I guess the moral here is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

This probably means you installed it in a wrong folder.
Or you just copied the batch file instead of making a shortcut.

Ah, didn't mean that to sound snarky. I had followed the recomendations for Win 7 users, should have been more specific. The error was the one in the thread title.

I'm very appreciative of the work that's gone into this mod, as well as those who take the time to help others get the max enjoyment from it, didn't mean to come across otherwise.

    What I did was:

Right click on the game icon.
    Go to properties/shortcut/advanced.
    Unclick "Run as Administrator".

    Started up fine after that.

Did you unpack the game files? If you did not then go to : C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\tools\unpacker
Run the program; it will take awhile.
