The Reunited Kingdom

Just a question dued to my ignorance regarding the Lord of the Rings lore: why is the Reunited Kingdom called this way? Is it because it's a sort of "league" between the two cities of Dol Amroth and Minas Tirith? Were the kingdom of Gondor and the one of Dol Amroth two distinct kingdoms during the Third Age?

No. It's the reunited kingdom of Arnor (the northern kingdom, which is everything between the misty mountains and the lindons, including the shire, Bree, Eriador, etc.) and Gondor. Arnor is outside of the game map.

Dol Amroth is a fief of the RK. It is based on the feudal system from the Middle Ages.

EDIT: there is no evidence that Tolkien intended to represent the Medieval feudal system when he mentioned "fiefs" (see, for example, http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/tolkien/26924/8) - MoN

Well...it's "currently" outside the game map. We'll apparently have access to it and units from the area in DoM.
