or check if the trom-units are avayable in custom battle.

never remove not mod-related files from the data folder. these could be part of the core programm, you will break the game if you remove something. you can repair it, but why break something if it is easy to just don't break it?

You only can recruit the aor unit if the faction the unit is from is destroyed.

Yarkis we've got a problem with the merchant building chain. Check the "market limit" thread.

Hoping for clarification and, eventually a quickfix...

Thinking back on this, I'm not sure that it's the case.

I'm playing as Chosokabe, and after taking the Miyoshi province (Awa) on Shikoku, I can recruit the Miyoshi yari cav, even though they still hold Awaji and Settsu.

Do you have any other mods installed? I don't have any problems, and therefore no further ideas.

    Houston we have a problem:

I smelled something so I took Date (first time I see this clan AND this part of the map) and sent a Ninja to Echigo (Uesugi) while I battled Mogami.
I managed to subdue Mogami and make it a vassal clan, meanwhile my Ninja got caught by the Uesugi Metsuke but we have something here.

The AI upgrades all buildings with the exception of religious buildings.
    That's confirmed.

It upgrades religious buildings. It usually happens a bit later because of the technology requirements.

How did you mod this game guys?

I'd like to know. If not, is it possible that you can make another mod themed Shogun 2:Heroes.
where heroes would be individuals who fights duels right before battles. these heroes can also be part of the battle as and individual, and can be leveled up like metsukes. This heroes would have higher damage and defence and tactics but has a weakness when facing guns and bows.
Ninjas too, instead of an army, why not a team of 2 individuals with bonus total invisibility at night.

    Are this features posibble?

I have another idea... to randomize the deploment boxes at the beginning of the battle so that the yellow and red boxes don't always get so far from one another and not always in front of one another. This would make every map different.

Just for the records, the starting Shimazu Katana Samurai is a different unit from the other Katana Samurai, which means it can't merge with others and it doesn't count within the standard Katana Samurai limits. This unit should be removed and replaced with the standard Katana Samurai (IIRC the Swordsmanship I art gives the correct Katana Samurai already).

Small prob: Can't find the Chosokabe native unit. Chosokabe is dead of course.

EDIT: correction, the Chosokabe Daikyu unit is present in bow dojo but doesn't have the mon so it's not easily identifiable.

EDIT: Thanks anyway, problem SOLVED. I was stupid . I deleted all the mods, but not the user script. It works for now. Wonder for how long. But still after I quit the game (not such a big deal but it bothers me and makes me worried), the game quits and Windows says "program stopped working", you know, this kind of "not responding" message. And then I have to click "close". It has been like that a few days. Everything works fine, I guess, except that annoying message when I quit Shogun, whether I do it through the main menu or directly quit to Windows from in-game, it doesn't matter. What's up with that?
    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hope someone can help me out of this mess that is games and computers. Technology can really suck! One day it's working perfectly fine and then the next day - without you doing anything - it screws you over.

I can't manage to get TROM going. I had Radious mod before and everything worked fine. I deleted all the Radious files (yes, all, so don't ask wheter I've forgotten to remove some ) and installed TROM + some submods. I think there's no need for me naming them as they're all said to be compatible with TROM. Examples are the Portrait and Events mod, no projectiles traces, less shiny units, and TROM music mod and submods and you name it.

The game starts and crashes even before the intro, saying the program stopped working. I validated the game twice. Everything seems in order. I tried to delete some mods (even though they're compatible) through trial and error without success. All my drivers are up to date so that's not the issue either. It's really weird. The second time I did the validation, it said 92 files are missing but they will be restored by Steam. I think that's nothing and it's probably something in the encyclopedia. How in earth is it possible that 92 files are missing??? I didn't delete anything that didn't say Radious... or Brig's Music mod or whatever. I didn't delete any vanilla game files.

Anyway, after the files were restored. Again, I start up, it all goes well until I get the main menu screen. There's no sound! And all my drivers are up to date, sound, graphics, motherboard, everything. But I thought OK, maybe the mod deletes main menu music. I start a new game and the game crashes at the loading screen. It says: program stopped working.

    Any ideas?

thats weird. yes, technology sucks. ^^

the only way to find the issue seems to be step by step - try to run vanilla without any mods, after that add only the two main trom-files, after that one desired submod, after that the second etc. until the game doesnt work.

ps: i have this "program stopped working" every time when i quit a game, doesn't matter which game. i think this some kind of vista-bullcrap. just try to ignore it. ^^

Yes, thanks for the reply. I will try to ignore it. I'm happy the game is running, that's the most important thing. Making disappear this "program stopped working" message in Windows 7 would just make me more at ease. Now I feel like the game could backfire any moment, you know .

Naginata warrior monk cavalry is not available to Ikko Ikki, they require the Buddhist religion.
