What are the benefits of having your family members elected to senate offices?

I don't really know what the actual benefits are, I think one benefit was management and law benefits depending on the title, and I'm not sure but I think it MIGHT (Emphasis on might as I'm 99% unsure) affect your popularity with the senate but that's just what I think. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will give a more satisfactory and detailed answer as I never really looked into that

mainly bonuses to influence and management, like Ozone said. they really dont make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things

yep, the only other thing is that iirc getting appointed dosent make you more popular with the senate, it means you are popular with the senate already.

If you ever do something wrong and the mission says "Leave allied region in 5 turns or the Quaestor will investigate your faction for financial irregularities." If you ignore them you will be fined unless your family member is Quaestor.

ahhhh yes that happened yesterday in fact; i had forgotten to remove my Scipii army from allied Numidian territory and 2 turns later it said something along the lines of "the Censor has investigated your faction and ____ has comitted suicide". Luckily the guy who died was only a diplomat. Thanks for the answers, very helpful
