Default Launch error (split from another problem thread)

Alright folks, I realize this is getting to be repetitive and most likely annoying, but any help would be appreciated! I have installed the mod into my Activision folder under RSII_Public. After realizing that it still doesn't work given the 3 errors (will get to them in a minute) I then moved the file into the Rome-Total War folder. However, I am still receiving the blasted 3 errors which are as follows: 'You don't have Rome Surrectum II installed in the correct folder. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\RSII_Public).. 2. 'Engine: RomeTW.exe, Faction campaign: -mod:play_rome' 3. In total: 'RomeTW.exe -mod:play_rome-show_err-nm-movie_cam'. For the love of whatever God it may be that you pray to can someone help me? I've reduced myself to watching videos on Youtube of how epic this game is... It's getting to be a problem. Thank you very much for your knowledge and help!

I've split this from the other thread as it's unrelated. Also we don't like people 'hijacking' threads as there are multiple problems being discussed.

The error indicates that you've not installed the game properly.......

We do suggets that you keep the install away from the c:\program files (x86) folder as well.

It's all in the instal instructions: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386559

Yeah, I read through them very carefully and when I first installed it I had it under a different file outside of Programs (x86). After that still didn't work I moved it into the original Activision folder. My question now is, do I have to do a complete re-install of Rome? Because that would pose as a problem for me since I am currently in Germany and didn't bring all of my discs with me. On the other hand, if you know that a foreign disc can work with a foreign computer, then I might just be making a trip to the electronics store today. But yeah, I understand I didn't install the game properly. From the looks of my folder in comparison with the screen shots I see, I am missing some files. I used the torrent that was posted, so maybe it's faulty? But I'm no computer wiz, so it's probably user error.

Sorry about the 'hi-jacking' just didn't want to make a completely new thread if it was something similar to what I was reading.

If the torrent was entirely downloaded, I don't think it the source of the issue.
As for foreign games, I'd say there are no problem, especially if you come from another European country. I believe PAL/SECAM is only for console games, and the area for movies.

From what I understand, you installed RS in a folder which is in your activision folder. If that's the case, and you can still play vanilla (unmodded) RTW, then just delete the RS folder, copy/patse the RTW folder to C: for example, then install RS on this folder.

Ok, I am from the States, but am studying abroad here, so I wasn't sure in an American computer would accept a foreign program. Like the movies and console games you stated, I thought it would be the same. But I think I will go tomorrow and buy a new copy of Rome Gold and just get rid of everything... Will be interesting to see if it is in German ^^ Thanks for your help, I also had an issue with Steam, but I will wait until I am actually ready to play this awesome mod before delving into that basket!
