Unexplained CTD's

So I've recently got a new computer, although its exactly the same make as my old one (theft & insurance thing, I won't go into it) which ran EB fine.

Been playing Shogun 2 recently, but today I decided I missed EB. I installed clean 1.5 RTW, then EB 1.1, then 1.2. I also decided to try the "mega-mini" sub mod...it seemed to install without a glitch.

However I now get frequent and seemingly random CTD's. These often occur as soon as the loading bar comes up when I'm booting the game to the main menu; although sometimes I get a few turns into a new game before it inevitalby occurs.

The error message says "Rome Total War has stopped working"

Any ideas?

Since EB 1.2+fixes runs without crashes like you described I would suggest to revoke to a clean 1.2 installation, create a backup from that build and only afterwards apply minimods. If they are complete randomly and are not engine related (CTD's in AI turns/after battles) it is likely that the mod-package can be the reason.
