I just tried 30/30 France versus Ottomans. It was FABULOUS right up until it crashed. Not having unit cards was harder than I thought it would be and the unit grouping option did not work, but it looked GOOD.

So, to play more than 20 units in army You need to change proper numbers in save game. So, custom battles don't have them, but as you might have know there are 6 historical battles made by Lordz Team (Lord Desaix if I'm correct) in which you control more than 20 units. So the only way to play "custom" battle is to create the whole scenario (how? I don't know).

This was first achieved by Julle Cesar so all credit to him for finding out how to do it.

To have more than 20 units in a stack: open 'saved game' in EsfEditor, CAMPAIGN_ENV / CAMPAIGN_MODEL, you will find 2 numbers with 20, upper is land and lower is ship'.

Just enter the number you need (don't know whether there are any restrictions, didn't test it) instead of 20.

It DOES work in campaign, and the limit is probably more than 80 units from each side (I am currently playing with stacks of 40, but have not reached this number yet).

Still in testing in my current british SP campaign to see what the ai does, might need to lower the unit costs a bit but will keep you posted with updates on my progress.

The only downside like in historical battles is that you can't see the extra unit cards for 21+ units so you might want to make a note of what units you have in a stack

i don't see 2 numbers with 20 only one 20 the one below is 10 and UInt32 next to it

Some players (like me) got 20 and 10, but these are the numbers you have to change.

Whoah, seriously.
I hadn't noticed them at first.
Whatever it is, it looks to be a good fix for the drawback side affect of unit card overflow this trick creates.

Could Darth please add this to his darthmod? Would love to play his mod with more units in the stack and on the battlefield:-) also add the ability to see the actually units in the stack even when there is more than 20 ofc;-)
