    Default Congrats & M2TW

    SAI 1.1 is to me the closest approximation to the Platonic idea of BI mod, contrats to all developers !

    When I start a new mod, I immediately start thinking of possible improvements or things I would do differently, but in this case I can't find any (well, just the removal of the red border lines from the battle field, perhaps ) and from a quick look at other posts it seems my feeling is shared by many.

    I love 2D/3D art, all campaigns, faction characterization, trait system, map, splash screens (wooow, those are beautiful !) and everything.

    But you mustn't rest easy - the time is now to port it to M2TW !

    First of all, thank you for your kind words, and we're glad you enjoy the mod. However, I'm afraid we'll have to disappoint you when it comes to porting SAI to M2TW. There are no such plans at the moment.

    That's a pity

    It's not so much that I miss M2TW visual enhancements (SAI is just great under that respect).

    It's (the speed of) RTW battle field animations - I don't mean just unit velocity: everything in a battle seems to happen too fast (cavalry is faster than light). M2TW is slower per se plus I further slow down battles some 20% ...

    Maybe there is a simple way to globally reduce animation speed

    Regardless of whether the grafic of M2TW is improved and the number of in-game options increased... in my opinion the M2TW engine (based on RTW) is also old now. Better we finish all open projects first and then move to Rome2. I'm sure this will be the next release of CA.

    I wish I had your confidence when it comes to an eventual Rome 2. If the previous TW titles is any indication, I fear the moddability of a Rome 2 would be highly limited.
