    Default battle_models.modeldb crashing on startup

    Well I've got a weird problem. I'm trying to add some Gondor Soldiers to the game. Got everything edited and ready to go, but for some reason, the game crashes whenever I try to run it. What really makes it weird though is that the battle_models.modeldb checker I have is reporting no errors at all, so I have no idea what could be causing it to crash.

    Here's the modeldb entry if anyone wants to take a crack at it. Any help would be appreciated.

    EDIT: Oh jeez, I just realized I think I posted in the wrong section. Should this go in coding? Or should it stay in here due to possible being a model issue?

    EDITEDIT: If it IS in the right place, I got the models from here. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=300947 if that helps any.

    As for the problem your numbers that represent character count at the beginning of lines are incorrect in almost every case. Take a look at the lod lines near the top. If the first lod has 44 characters, then the second and third certainly don't. You have similar errors all throughout the section of code.

    The entries look ok, string counts correct etc. Seems odd that the lod2 comes first and the lod0 last, but I wouldn't have thought that would cause a crash. Does the log not point to the error? If not, then post your EDU.

    They are all the same, I get 56 and 70 using word count in microsoft word.

    My entire EDU or just the unit entry?

    Also, I removed the modeldb entry and everything worked fine again, but if the entry is fine, is there a possibility that the model is just plain unusable or something?

    EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about the log. Anyway, I don't have any logs, they aren't recorded for some reason

    Third Age has a log. Did you look in the logs folder?

    It's not Third Age, it's just one of the resources I want to add for my own personal use.

    Reading the kind of error I'm getting, there is no log produced for these kinds of errors.

    I tried a more updated version of the model that was apparently buried in the thread, but the same kind of error keeps happening.

    Are you using a modfolder or modding the original files?

    It doesn't matter now. xD

    So! Who wants to punch my lights out for wasting their time? Turns out I forgot to bring in the attachment sets.

    Seriously though, thanks for all the help guys, this really was frustrating me to no end. If I could rep you guys, I would. >.<
