Ancient Battle Site Found

I know this is before ExRM's timeframe, but I thought you'd all be interested in it nonetheless. A site of a battle from around 1200 BC has been found in Germany, with about 100 bodies found with major injuries consistent with warfare. BBC story here, and the Antiquity journal article here. The BBC said it may be the earliest battle site that's been found from the Bronze Age.

Fascinating stuff. What a brutal way to die, makes me cringe when I see such injuries on ancient human remains.

That was really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I wonder what moved them to travel hundreds of klicks to attack someone? A raid, perhaps, or a tribal migration? Irenaeus is right, though--I'm glad I wasn't there at the time.
